I believe my urge to create stems from my mum. She was the most creative person I ever knew and she could make just about anything she put her mind to. When I was sixteen I lost my mum to cancer, this collection was released on my mums birthday to honour her in the most authentic way to me, by making. My mums favourite “colour” is black and although I would testify that black isn’t a colour but a shade she really didn’t care as it was simply her favourite. This collection was a special one as 100% of the proceeds went to Bowel Cancer Australia. This is the magic feeling of creating from the heart, as black as it may be.
